IF you want HA, you need a Utube video of you in a samurai suit shooting +5 fireballs from your beard, while doing shadow clones and having your hair change to golden spikey yellow. Then you have to be able to speak to people without seeing them (being telepathic helps....but you can use ventrilo), and be able to see what hasn't happened (Psychic pl0x).

Or, you could uh just go.

Who wants to HA?

You know one of the problems with HA, is people are too shy or exclusive.
If you want everyone to play, you'd do well to shout

"WHo wants to do HA!?"

and see what happens from there.

Change the world with the little things =P

BTW going into a HA guild would probably be the best thing you can do actually.
A PvE guild generally means it would be filled with people who are in the exact same situation as you.
You would all be able to learn together and thus feel comfortable in that no one would put down the other.

Anyways when GW started I'm sure thats how people started.
People hadn't done GW pvp before, so they gathered with others who didn't and through out time became experienced.

Yes it should be that way

In principle it is a bad thing for any competitive game if someone of little or no knowledge or experience has as much chance of succeeding as someone with a great deal of experience. The reason War is a shitty card game is that there isn't any strategy involved. There is nothing the individual can do to determine the outcome of the game. So it doesn't matter if I've played a thousand games and you're playing for the first time.

If a rank 0 team had a roughly equal chance of winning as a ranked team then that would - to some extent - indicate that skill level and time spent practicing would not determine likelihood of success.

Now I'm aware that Rank doesn't strictly relate to being good as there are lots factors that could undermine this. A person could have ridden on the coattails of good teammates, or played gimmicks, or bought their account etc etc. Also a non ranked played could have played a lot of other pvp formats etc etc.

That aside, in most cases, your average team with little or no pvp experience or ha experience should not have an equal chance of success as a team with a lot of experience.

In the end you generally cannot have your cake and eat it. If you want to stay in a PvE guild that doesn't want to PvP, and you don't want to commit time to getter better and learning the game, then you shouldn't expect to get world spams or climb the GvG ladder.

Underworld? Ok 1v1.
Burial Mounds? 6v6. You would lose more than 18% of the time.
Brokener Tower ( pun intended ) 3v3 and skill doesn't mean you won.

etc etc.

1 fame runs where the way of the average HA'er to do runs. Offcourse, once you had a good group, it was easier to get consecutives in HoH.
i remember these days, it took so long to get my r3! Its when the koreans owned about 90% of euro teams in less then 1 minute!

You actually felt that posting this on Guru was a good idea? This thread is major flame bait.

PuGs only run certain builds because they are a hell of a lot easier to set up and recruit for than original builds. People are more likely to go with the tested build than the untested because they know the tested build is capable of giving them wins. Most of the build variation comes from guild groups or groups of tight knit friends.

People want rank because it shows you have actually played HA before and more than likely have a good knowledge of the maps and their tactics. It is a lot more likely that a higher ranked player has better knowledge than a lower ranked/unranked player. However, I am not saying there are no bad high ranked players because that would be untrue.

Regarding your statement on the enjoyment of the game: I doubt people would be playing this game unless they enjoyed some of the aspects of the game. Why would you play something you dislike?
